Molecular genetic study of Diamine Oxidase (DAO) activity (AOC1-V).
It is a non-invasive test that performs a highly sensitive genotyping of the most relevant genetic variants of the AOC1 gene coding for the DAO enzyme from a saliva sample (buccal mucosa).
Three of these allelic variants of AOC1 are analyzed in this test:

Classification of variants according to the recommendations of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics according to nomenclature of HGVS
Finally, the results report specifies the variants detected in the patient, as well as the phenotypic interpretation of reduced DAO activity based on the results obtained.
DAO analysis: in vitro diagnostic test to measure the level of DAO (Diamine Oxidase) enzyme activity in plasma.
The DAO® ANALYTICS is an in vitro diagnostic test to measure the level of DAO (Diamine Oxidase) enzyme activity in plasma.
The results determine a reduced DAO enzyme activity when the values of HDU/ml (Histamine Degraded Units/mililiter of blood) are between 80-40 HDU/ml, or very reduced when they are under 40 HDU/ml.
