From our production plant we offer our nutraceutical products in different gastro-resistant formats (tablets, pellets, micropellets, capsules, microcapsules and nanocapsules), facilitating the adaptation to the current regulation of each market and its commercialization at international level.

We also develop In Vitro molecular diagnostic kits for DAO activity.

Manufacturing for third parties

DR Healthcare manufactures and markets the active substance (Diamine Oxidase – DAO enzyme) for third parties, both for human and animal use.

We make available to pharmaceutical and food companies that are looking for a reliable supplier, the highest levels of quality, regulatory support and production of Diamine Oxidase, manufactured in our enzyme production plant located in Tarragona (Spain).

The production of this ADI (Active Dietary Ingredient) is vertically integrated so it is able to control the intermediates of its manufacturing.

Customized solutions

DR Healthcare stands out as a leading company in the production of Diamino Oxidasa, which allows us to offer tailored solutions for use in the veterinary, animal health and food sectors.

Our solutions based on Diamino Oxidase are adapted to the new food control standards, which stipulate the control of histamine levels in order to avoid risks of poisoning due to the consumption of large amounts of this biogenic amine present in food.

Veterinary and animal health sector

Veterinary solutions based on Diamino Oxidase for the dietary management of histaminosis and DAO deficiency in domestic animals, livestock and aquaculture. Its health is that of all being vital to control the pathophysiological effects that trigger high levels of histamine.

Food industry sector

FAO and WHO and countries around the world have applied regulations that include the analysis of foods that may contain high levels of histamine and measures to prevent their production through proper conservation, processing and distribution.

DAO deficiency specialists

DAO deficiency is an alteration in the metabolism of food histamine that occurs when there is little activity of the enzyme Diamino Oxidase (DAO). DAO is the main enzyme in the metabolism of exogenous histamine and develops its functional activity in the intestine.

Since there is a disproportion between the histamine ingested or released by the cells that store it in the body, and the ability to metabolize it, the accumulation of histamine in plasma and the appearance of adverse effects occurs.

Main symptoms of DAO deficiency

Migraine, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome (SCI) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are the symptoms with the highest prevalence in the population caused by DAO deficiency.
